Marine Pile Driver with an 8 ft extension, which has a hydraulic hammer,
movable derrick and spuds, powered by a 20 hp twin cylinder Honda electric
start engine with a 20 gallon gas tank.
This unit includes a MPD-110 hammer that easily drives 10” diameter poles.
We added extra thick plating at the top of the hammer to stiffen/stabilize
the arm that attaches the hammer to the hydraulic ram. The derrick is 25 ft
tall with an integral hydraulic winch that makes quick work of setting up
poles for driving as well as extracting them. We have custom fabricated a
block/pulley set up that greatly simplifies set up and extraction of
poles/piles
The derrick and both spuds are hydraulically moveable for ease of
operation. The barge has 10 separate sealed compartments . The back 2 can
be filled with water to help stabilize and level the barge, especially
useful when extending the derrick to the end of the 8 ft extension.
The barge has a custom built helm and control panel. Everything on the
barge is hydraulic and can be controlled from this console.
The barge can be placed perpendicular to a pier or boat dock that allows
multiple poles/pilings in line for stringers without having to reset the
barge. The total travel of the derrick with the included extension is about
18 ft. This allows you to drive end poles and install stringers before
having to move the barge. What you have is a straight and stable work area
for staging your project.
The barge is fitted with a rebuilt 1991-115 hp Johnson outboard. There’s
less than 150 hours since rebuild.
Included in the asking price is a 24 ft “tritoon” work barge with new
decking and rub rails. It has a 70 hp Tohatsu that runs great.
